An off Day for the Champion: Kipchoge Dethroned, Blames It On His Ear

Kenyan athletic star Eliud Kipchoge, the recent world record holder in the 5000 metres marathon with a time of 2:01:39 has finished eighth in the 2020 London Marathon.
The Marathon was led by Shura Kitata from Ethiopia and Kenya’s Vincent Kipchumna came second.
“I’m really disappointed, I thought I would race better. My right ear was blocked, I don’t know what happened. I also struggled with my hip. The last 15km I felt my right ear was blocked. It just happened in the race. It’s really cold here, but I don’t blame the conditions. I will go back to my coach and see what happens. I’ve got more marathons in me.” Eliud said.
