Famous Uganda Cranes Fan, Uncle Money Sentenced to Four Years in Jail for Manslaughter

Legendary Uganda cranes cheerleader, Jackson Ssewanyana popularly known as Uncle Money among Uganda soccer lovers, has been sentenced to four years in jail for manslaughter.
Miriam Akello, the Chief Magistrate at Buganda Road court convicted Uncle Money after finding him guilty of engendering the death of Siraje Tumusiime, a former mechanic in Kasubi, a Kampala suburb.
Court was told that Uncle Money suspected Siraje to have stolen a mobile phone. He held Siraje by the collar and dragged him on the road towards the Royal hotel in Kasubi before handing him over to a mob that ended his life.

In her judgment, Ayo said the convicts deserve a custodial sentence and handed them a four-year jail term. However, Siraje’s widow, Joan Natukunda unhappy with the sentence. She wanted Uncle Money Jailed for life.
