The Minister for internal affairs Gen. Jeje Odongo has been directed by parliament to come with a report explaining how the government is going to help and compensate the families which lost their beloved ones during the political riots last year most especially the riots which happened across the country when Bobi wine was arrested while going to campaign in Namisindwa.
Parliament’s directive came after the complaint which has been raised by Kajara county Member of Parlaiement Micheal Timuzigu who informed the house that in his constituency there is a man who lost his son who had just graduated and gotten a job but was unfortunately shot dead by a stray bullet from security personnel quelling the riots. The victim was a bystander and not part of the riots.
Timuzigu asked the speaker to direct government to present the report showing how all those people died because up to today the report has not been released and yet not all those who died were rioting.
