Government has decided to fully take charge of Mountains of the Moon University.
In a cabinet meeting that sat on 7th December at State House, it was agreed that there is need ‘to provide quality teaching and learning across different parts of the country, offer course that are relevant to the local, national and international community and promote research.’
The Forportal based university was founded in 2005 as a private, non-profit institution but later became a public institution following an executive directive in January 2018. However Government had not fully assumed full control over the varsity.
Mountains of the Moon University joins the list of other over eight Universities under Government’s care.
