The campaigners of the deputy speaker of parliament Oulanyah Lokori Jacob have shockingly decided to demonize the Kagoma Member of Parliament elect Brandon Kintu, whose wife is admitted at a medical facility in Kampala.
The muzungu wife of the legislator is said to have developed complications after taking the Coronavirus vaccinations and was meant to be flown to her home country Netherlands. The mother in law of Brandon, a medical doctor in Netherlands, asked for the daughter to be immediately flown home for medical attention. The sickness forced Brandon to leave Kyankwanzi to take care of his wife.
To Oulanyah promoters, a wonderful opportunity came for them not only to celebrate but to also mock Brandon and his only crime is the open support for Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga. A story was crafted and published on Telesqop website, known for doing propaganda for the deputy speaker and fighting Kadaga.
The story had a screaming headline saying: “Busted! MP-elect Flees Kyankwanzi with Kadaga’s Shs 80m Campaign Cash”. The story was immediately picked and shared on all social media platforms by Oulanyah campaigners including Job Matua, John Bosco Uhuru and others. They were posted on Whatsapp forums, Facebook and twitter.
On the contrary, Kadaga group in Kyankwanzi are not giving money to MPs but is in fact Oulanyah group distributing money.
According to sources in Kyankwanzi, the distribution is done and supported by the secretary general Kasule Lumumba. Lumumba has been fighting Kadaga for Busoga supremacy since the exit of the likes of Specioza Kazibwe, Hajji Kirunda Kivejinja, Daudi Migereko and others. Lumumba is supporting Oulanyah for Speaker not because she likes him but to settle scores with Kadaga.
MPs are also being intimidated in Kyankwanzi by General Elly Tumwine not to support Kadaga. Tumwine decided to camp in Kyankwanzi even when he is not in the National Resistance Movement party structures. The retreat in Kyankwanzi is for the new members of parliament from the national resistance movement.
Tumwine was rejected by the army in the last elections. He is no longer going to represent the army in Parliament and has decided to console himself with fighting Kadaga. He also hates Kadaga over Nomo Gallery, where he has not been paying taxes for decades.
