Speaker of Parliament and Woman MP Kamuli District, Rt.Hon Rebecca Kadaga has called for togetherness among the youth, if they are to shape the future they want to live in.
Ms.Kadaga said this as she met a delegation of youth leaders from the Eastern Region at Parliament today.
“This is the time to build cohesion and shape the future ahead of the upcoming NRM youth parliamentary primaries for the Eastern Region.” the speaker said.
The speaker also introduced to the delegation a one Mark Derrick Kibuuka a ‘young and courageous man’ who will be running for Eastern Uganda youth MP.
“Mark Derrick Kibuuka has been groomed, is well educated and is well versed with parliamentary proceedings having spent time working in Parliament.” Kadaga added.
This is not the first time Speaker Kadaga is fronting her favorite candidate to run for office in Busoga and other areas of Eastern Uganda. Most of her pick-out candidates have been successful because she is the number one opinion leader as far as NRM is concerned in Eastern Uganda.
Earlier this year, posters showing Timothy Kadaga (Kadaga’s son) vying for Youth MP Eastern Region made rounds on social media, but Timothy immediately communicated of how he was no interested in this position.
