Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Lord Mayor, Salongo Erias Lukwago has been rushed to Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi, Kenya for a specialized examination and treatment of a COVID-19 like disease affecting his respiratory system and causing general body weakness.
The Lord Mayor’s aides confirmed his airlifting to Nairobi but said he is not in critical condition.
“Clarification about omuloodi’s healthy Condition. Lord Mayor ssalongo Erias Lukwago isn’t in critical condition,” said part of a brief statement posted by his aides.
They noted that Lukwago went to Nairobi to undertake an extensive medical check up to determine the genesis of allergies affecting his respiratory system and causing general body weakness.
“But he has gone to Nairobi (not rushed) to do a comprehensive medical checkup to assess what causes allergic reactions that affects his respiratory system and causes general body weakness,” the said.
They were quick to put that the Lord Mayor is out of danger.
“He (Lukwago) isn’t in any form of danger nor that he is critically ill.”
