A staunch National Resistance Movement (NRM) member, Morrison Rwakakamba has invited the expelled Forum for Democratic Change party National Political Mobilizer, Ingrid Turinawe to join the ruling party.
FDC shocked the nation on Thursday morning when they announced the expulsion of three party members including Ingrid Turinawe, a true and an exceptional fighter, who has been with the party through the most trying moments.
A letter signed by FDC Secretary General, Nandala Mafabi said Ingrid and two others violated the party Constitution when they decided to stand as independent candidates against the party flag bearers.
Ingrid is contesting for Rukungiri municipality against FDC’s Dr. Warren Nuwagaba, who defeated her in primaries. She protested the results citing voter bribery.
Rwakakamba Morrison, also a known political and policy commentator, said generally the expulsion exudes discipline in FDC but justice to the aggrieved parties is also paramount.
“In firing Ingrid Turinawe Kamateneti et al, @FDCOfficial1 is showing Party discipline matters. I hope fired members got justice ~ fair hearing,” said Rwakakamba.
He went ahead to invite Ingrid to join NRM if she was not served justice after the robbing of her votes during primary elections.
“If not, Ingrid et al are welcome to join @NRMOnline,” he said.
