The National Unity Platform party presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has acquired and immediately put on full war zone protective gears including bullet proof vest and head helmet.
Bobi was on Thursday seen at his home in Magere addressing his team fully clad on the protective gears.
The development comes barely two days after an explosive went off near Bobi Wine during a scuffle with police in Busoga region. The tyre and windscreen of Bobi’s vehicle had earlier been shot by police.
Police Spokesman Fred Enanga in acknowledging the incident, said it was a preventive action to stop Bobi Wine and his team from taking a route that was not designated for them.
55 people have been confirmed dead following the campaign violence registered since the arrest and release of Kyagulanyi.
